Terms and conditions

These terms are made between the Provider, which operates the Devora site, and you, who use the service. Where the text says “we” it means the Provider; where it says “you” it means the user.

The terms cover all three of the site's services: the free courses, the one-time paid courses, and the live session.

Devora sells online engineering courses and one live session with a person. There are three services and no others.

There is no subscription, and there will not be one. We create no recurring payment, and we charge nothing again automatically.

• —Free courses: take them with no card and no account.
• —One-time paid courses: one payment, lifetime access, every future update to the course, the full source code, and the exercise solutions.
• —Live session: ninety minutes with an instructor. You pay first, then pick a time.

We ask for an account only when you buy or when you book. A free course needs none.

Signing in works without a password: a six-digit code sent to your e-mail, or a sign-in link that opens with one click. The code and the link are your access — do not pass them on.

An account belongs to one person. Give a real e-mail address, because your access and your booking confirmation go there.

Prices are in forint, gross, and include VAT. The VAT split shown at checkout is information only: what you pay is the gross price displayed.

Payment runs through our payment provider, without leaving the site. We never see or store card details.

We send the invoice electronically, to the e-mail address on your account.

The one-time fee buys lifetime access to that course. It does not expire, and it does not lapse because you left it alone for a while.

The access is tied to your account and is personal. It cannot be transferred, passed on, or shared with anyone else.

“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the service. If we ever retire a course for good, we tell you first and make its content available to download.

You pay for the session first, then pick an evening from the board. The ticket is stamped at once: you do not wait on a confirmation to learn whether it worked.

Every time is Central European Time. The board publishes four weeks ahead; beyond that there is nothing to book.

You may move or release the evening up to twenty-four hours before it starts. Release it and the time goes back on the board while the session stays credited to your account, so you can book another. Inside the last twenty-four hours the cancel action is not available — write to us instead.

An instructor may also cancel. The session returns to your account in the same way, and you book a new time.

A course is digital content, and we begin delivering it the moment you buy. You agree to that at purchase and accept that your fourteen-day right of withdrawal ends with it. That is consumer law, not our rule.

Independently of it, we promise this: write to us within thirty days of the purchase and we refund the price of the course. You do not have to give a reason.

This does not cover the session. Clause six does: a session you paid for stays on your account, and you book it again.

Your access is yours; the content is not. We ask for the following, and it is also our right.

If you break these, we may suspend or end your access. In a serious case we do not refund the price of the content.

• —Do not publish, share or pass on the course content, in part or in whole.
• —Do not use the material as the basis of your own educational or commercial product.
• —Do not work around the technical limits on access, and do not load the site deliberately.
• —Do not record the live session without the instructor's prior agreement.

The video, text, diagrams and source code of the courses are the intellectual property of the Provider or of the authors.

A course you buy grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence: to learn from it, and to apply what you learn in your own work.

You may use the exercise source code freely in your own projects, work and commercial projects included. What you may not do is resell or republish the material itself.

We work to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee continuous or fault-free operation. Maintenance, a fault, or a cause outside our control may take the service down for a time.

We keep developing the courses: lessons may change and grow, and outdated parts may go. That is part of lifetime access, not a reduction of it.

The courses are educational. They are not legal, financial or security advice, and they do not guarantee that you reach any particular outcome — a job or an exam included.

So far as law permits, our liability is limited to what you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost data.

This clause neither excludes nor limits liability that law does not allow to be limited: liability for intentional harm, for life, for bodily integrity and for health, and your rights as a consumer.

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. The revision date of the version in force is at the top of this page.

A change never narrows your access to a course you already bought. We write to you about any material change.

Hungarian law governs this relationship. That does not affect the consumer rights you hold in your own member state of residence.

We try to settle a dispute in writing first. If that fails, as a consumer you may go to the conciliation body for your place of residence, or to the court with jurisdiction.
